| According to Urcan (p.89), this match was reported in the 20 Sept. 1893 issue of the Philadelphia Inquirer, but the 3 Oct. 1893 issue of the Newark Daily Advertiser said that the third game was played 'Last Monday', which might mean 2 Oct. or 25 Sept. 1893. Chances are that it finished before 26 Sept. 1893, the day the Impromptu International Tournament started, in which both Albin and Jasnogrodsky participated. Urcan (p.264) gives the number of games as '4?', so it seems unclear how many were played. |
