| Reichhelm gives a result of offhand games (+0-2=0 for Blackburne). Hilbert's book on Walter Penn Shipley (pp.54-55) says that Blackburne's visit to Philadelphia was from 25-30 May 1889, and that Blackburne made 3 to 2 against Starck. Harding gives the same 3 to 2 result, citing Reichhelm's column. I guess that the latter is correct. |
