| Partial results available. This was a handicap tournament, with 3 knockout rounds to reduce 84 players to 11. These 11 in the 'poule finale' played an all-play-all. The only 2 players for whom scores are given (the top 2) were both in class 1 and can thus be compared. The Mar. 15, 1886 issue of La Stratégie (cited by Cornil) gives results of all but the last two rounds and the next month's issue gave final results, so I presume that it finished in March (though it could have lasted into April). |
