| Notes: |
| McGowan gives only the scores of the top four players. Since the scores were out of 15, I am guessing that this was a 16-player single-round all-play-all (though in principle it could have been a 5-player triple-round all-play-all in which the fifth player scored only 2 out of 15). McGowan says that it began as Richter's birthday approached (which was 24 Nov.) so I am assuming that it began early in Nov. 1917. A game is given with the date 3 Nov. 1917, and another with date 4 May 1918, so the event lasted at least until May 1918. This last game was a win by Richter against E. Kipke, for whom we don't have a score. |
