Event table notes

Event data
Name: 5th Trade Unions Championship Semi-final, Group 2
Place: Leningrad
Start date: 1937
End date: Jan. 1938

Notes:
The crosstable given by both Di Felice and Popovsky is inconsistent. Ber and Klaman are shown with a win and a loss, respectively, against Semenova, while Semenova is shown with a win and a loss against Ber and Klaman, respectively. The most likely true situation is that Semenova got a loss and a win against Ber and Klaman respectively. Reversing these makes the crosstable internally consistent and the total scores correct. Poltoranov forfeited to Noskov, and Popovsky also shows a forfeit by Yakovlev against Poltoranov, while Di Felice shows the latter as unplayed (but Poltoranov's total score still seems to count the point). In any case, unplayed games are not included here for rating purposes. The championship final was played in Feb.-Mar. 1938, so I will guess that the semi-finals finished in Jan. 1938 (though they might have extended into Feb. 1938).
