   | The report in the Deutsche Schachzeitung (1895, p.30) says that 8 games had to be played, draws counting a half point, but that von Bardeleben had to give Jecke two points. It does not seem clear to me whether the result +3-2=3 for Jecke should be interpreted as the score for games played, and that with the two extra points Jecke would officially have had 6.5 points out of a possible 10, or whether the result given incuded the two extra points so that Jecke scored +1-2=3 in games actually played. I will guess at the latter, but this could well be wrong. Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice both give +3-2=3 for Jecke. They also both give the location as Berlin, whereas the Deutsche Schachzeitung report says Leipzig. | | | |
