| The British Chess Magazine of Apr. 1905 (p.145) says: 'The match started on Wednesday, March 18th'. However, 18 Mar. 1905 was a Saturday. Philip Jurgens has pointed out to me that the narrative of the match makes it clear that it started on Wed. 15 Mar. 1905, and ended on Mon. 27 Mar. 1905. This seems the most likely conclusion. |
