| This was intended to be a match of 7 games. The Chess Player's Chronicle gives the result after 6 games. It is not clear whether the 7th game was played. Three games are also given from a second match at the same odds between these two players (in the Chess Player's Chronicle, 1851, pp.161-164) with the result +2-1=0 for Horwitz, but this is probably not a complete score. |
