| Second match between Boden and Owen in 1858. The 10 Apr. 1858 issue of the Illustrated London News (p.375) gives a game in the match 'now pending' so I presume this was the second match. The 23 May 1858 issue of the Era (p.5) says the second match was for 3 games, and gives a score so far of +2-1=0 for Owen, and the 30 May 1858 issue (p.5) gives the final result of this second match as +3-1 for Owen. |
