| A partial result of +3-0=2 for de Vere is given in the Apr. 1867 issue of the Chess Player's Magazine (p.127). The 1 Jun. 1867 issue (p.188) gives the final result as +5-0=1, so it is not clear how many draws there actually were. I will guess that there were two draws, as indicated in the earlier report, and that the latter report was erroneous in this respect. |
