| Renette and Zavatarelli say that there was a second match between these players, in which Neumann again won every game. Although the number of games is not known, Renette and Zavatarelli say 'five is likely', so I use that here. The result is reported in the 15 May 1869 issue of La Stratégie (p.131), so I will guess that it finished in May 1869, though it may have finished in Apr. 1869. |
