| This was to be a match for the first to win 10 games. The sixth game was played on 4 May 1891. The match was interrupted when the score was +9-3=0 for Ruiz, and this was first reported in the 1 Jun. 1891 issue of El Tablero (p.12), so I presume the last game played (the 12th) was played in May. The 1 Nov. 1891 issue (pp.13-14) still says that the match was on pause. |
