| Lawson reports that Morphy won all five games played on 14 May 1859 at Knight odds. The Chess Monthly of July 1859 (p.229) gives a result of games at Knight odds between Morphy and Stone as +5-1=0 for Morphy. I will assume that this is an error, though it could be that a sixth game was played on a different occasion. |
