| In the 27 Mar. 1852 Illustrated London News (p.258), von Jaenisch says that he lost 'the greater part' of his games with Petrov 'during my last sojourn in Warsaw', which, according to the May 1852 Chess Player's Chronicle (p.149) was in Nov.-Dec. 1851. But the Illustrated London News printed a draw from this series of games, played without handicap. So I include a +2-0=1 result for Petrov as a soft result. |
