Hillyer (quoting W.F. Morse in the Feb. 1898 American Chess Magazine) gives +7-4=2 for Delmar against 'A.P. Barnes'. Feenstra Kuiper gives +7-0=1 against 'R.H. Barnes'. Di Felice gives +7-0=1 against 'Robert Henry Barnes'. Kingston and Russell give +7-0=1 against 'Barnes'. Van Winsen gives +7-0=1 against 'Alfred P. Barnes'. It appears that Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice have got the wrong Barnes (Robert Henry Barnes was born in England and played in tournaments in Germany in the 1880s and 1890s). Since Morse identifies A.P. Barnes and is closer to contemporary, I take his account to be correct.
