| The 1 Nov. 1882 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle gives Mason's win over Mackenzie in this match, with date 11 Oct. 1882. I therefore presume the 3-game match took place entirely in Oct. 1882. However, the British Chess Magazine of Aug. 1891 (p.392) gives the date as Septermber 1882. |
