| Winter gives this result (+13-1=1 for Burille) from a note in La Stratégie of 15 Aug. 1888. No dates are given, but I presume these games were played in 1888. There is no indication that this was a formal match. The Brookly Daily Eagle of 30 Jan. 1898 (p.27) gives a result of 3-2 for Burille over Young in an unfinished match in 1888. The Boston Weekly Post of 27 Apr. 1888 (p.8) gives a result of +9-1=1 for Burille in offhand games. |
