The Nottingham Chess Club Records and the Nottingham Chess Club Minutes Book contain references to an 'E. Durrant' in the 1870s and an 'H.G. Durrant' in the 1880. But the Leicester Chronicle and Leicestershire Mercury of 6 Nov. 1880 has 'W.H. Durrant' of Nottingham playing against Leicester. I will guess that the 'Durrant' playing for Nottingham in later events in the 1880s was W.H. Durrant, though this is not clear.
