Event table notes

Event data
Name: 3rd Netherland Chess Federation International Tournament
Place: Hilversum
Start date: 3 Aug. 1903
End date: 13 Aug. 1903

Notes:
Gaige gives the crosstable without results for Vijzelaar; Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice include results for Vijzelaar, who withdrew and whose games were not counted in the official scores. Many of Vijzelaar's games and some of de Soyres' games were not played. Although Feenstra Kuiper, Gaige and Di Felice all indicate that the game Trimborn-de Soyres was won by the former over the board, the Field of 22 Aug. 1903 indicates that this was one of the games that de Soyres defaulted. This is also indicated by Fiala (p.282). I will take the result from the Field here. Gaige and Feenstra Kuiper call this the 3rd International Tournament of the Netherland Chess Federation, while Di Felice calls it the 31st Netherland Chess Federation Tournament.
