The extract from La Stratégie quoted by Cornil indicates that de Beskrovny won a play-off match but does not indicate how many play-off games there were nor their score. I assume 1-0. Dates not certain, but since it was announced in La Stratégie of 15 March 1879 (as given by Cornil) and results were given in the issue dated April and May, it probably started in March and finished in April. |
