Event data
Name: Sheffield and District - Huddersfield and Holmfirth Match
Place: Penistone
Start date: 27 Sep. 1884
End date: 27 Sep. 1884

Notes:
The identities of some of the players are uncertain. Steve Mann suggests that 'H Davy' might be an error for Arthur Davy, but there was also a Harold Davy of Sheffield, who seems more the likely person. 'W. Honlon' might be an error for 'Hanlon'. I am guessing that 'Broole' is C.L. Brook. Steve Mann identifies 'Hinchliffe' as 'H Hinchliffe' but there was also an E. Hinchliffe. 'Brown' could be many players in the area.
