End date: 12 June 1921

Notes:
The scores given by Di Felice, as well as by Moran, add to 173 points, but they should add to 171 for a 19-player single-round all-play-all. An analysis by Walter Chan (personal communication) suggests that M. and C. Golmayo actually scored 16.5 and 14.5 rather than 17.5 and 15.5, as given by Di Felice. Another explanation, though, is that the extra two points were the wins by M. Golmayo against Victoriano Barranco and Antonio María Autrán García, both of whom played in the first round at least (and Autrán also in the second) but dropped out later. Three other players similarly participated in the first two rounds at least and then withdrew: Mariano Subirá, José Pérez de Seoane and Lorenzo Pérez de Miguel. Autrán and Subirá drew in the first round; Barranco lost to M. Golmayo; Pérez de Seoane lost to Labrado; Pérez de Miguel lost to Gasque. In the second round, Autrán lost to M. Golmayo; Subirá lost to A. Garcia; Pérez de Seoane lost to Galindo; Pérez de Miguel won against V. Rodríguez; and Barranco's game against de Villota is listed as 'pendiente' and may not have been finished. All these additional games (apart from Barranco - de Villota) from the first two rounds are included here. It is not clear whether any more games were played by these five players who withdrew early. Moran and Di Felice have Valentin Marin in this event, but Joaquim Travesset says that, on the basis of contemporary newspaper accounts, it may have been César Marin, and Jesús Remis Fernández agrees. The tournament officially started on 15 May 1921, but the first round was actually played on 16 May 1921.
