Start date: May 1930 |
End date: June 1930 |

Notes: |
Di Felice has Hugo Bodenstein in this event; Gaige has '[P.] Bodenstein', and McGowen has Paul Bodenstein. I am guessing that the player named 'Stüber' was Erich Stüber. McGowan says that the draw for pairings was held on 29 Apr. 1930, and then a blitz tournament was held before the main tournament began, so I suppose that the main tournament started at the beginning of May 1930. McGowen also says that there was no play-off for first prize 'due to a lack of time and the upcoming Swinemünde tournament'. The Swinemünde tournament started 22 June 1930, so I will guess that the Berlin Championship ended earlier in June, though it may have finished in May. |
