The American Chess Bulletin of Nov. 1923 (p.162) gives 'A. Schroeder' as Bartha's opponent as well as Pimsler's opponent; the Brooklyn Daily Eagle of 11 Oct. 1923 (p.A3) has 'A.L. Sch'der' as Bartha's opponent, and the issue of 4 Oct. 1923 (p.A3) mentions 'A.L. Schneider' as one of the winners for Manhattan. Barak Saltz suggests that this was A.F. Schneider.
