Piker forfeited to Solukha and Domansky. Popovsky has 'V. Nikolaev' at this event, citing Shakhmatniy Zhurnal. Sarah's Chess Journal has Boris Aleksander Nikolaev (or Boris Alexandrovich Nikolajew), as does Rivista scacchistica italiana, Deutsche Schachzeitung and Weiner Schachzeitung. I will guess that this was Boris Alexandrovich Nikolaev, who was also Kiev Champion in later years.
