The Los Angeles Herald of 16 Jun. 1902 (p.2) says that 'Twelve first-class players entered', but since scores are out of 20, I am guessing that only 11 players finished and that it was a double-round all-play-all. Only the scores of Waterman and Candler are given, and the result of their play-off for the championship (in the Los Angeles Herald of 30 Jun. 1902, p.3). |
