| This was an 8-a-side team match. Only the 3 games shown were finished on time. The others were adjudicated. I have the names of all players on both teams, and that J. de Souza Mendes and Heitor Carlos also won for the Rio team, but which opponents they faced is not clear, so I cannot include these games. Two of the remaining 3 games were drawn, and the last game had yet to be decided at the time Howell left (as he reports in the American Chess Bulletin), but again the pairings for these are not clear, so I cannot use them. |
