| Notes: |
| Hilbert, in his ChessCafe article, says that Olly came second to Hodges in the NYSCA championship in 1893, losing the title only after a play-off. Perhaps this refers to a different event, as Olly here came equal second with Hanham, but a full 3.5 points behind the winner, Hodges. The table of results in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle is completely inconsistent and incomprehensible. Gaige and Di Felice give dates 7-10 Aug. 1893; Hilbert and Lahde give dates 7-12 Aug. 1893 for the whole event, but perhaps this included the handicap tournament. |
