| This result is given in the Oct. 1855 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle and the 23 Sep. 1855 issue of the Era, so I guess that it finished in Sept. 1855. The Sept. 1855 issue of the Chess Player's Chronicle indicates that the match had already begun, and their previous match ended in August, so I guess it started in Aug. 1855. |
