| Lowenthal, in the Era (8 Nov. 1857, p.14) says 'During his recent visit to Manchester Herr Lowenthal, giving the odds of P and move, played six or seven games with Mr. Pindar, and won them all.' I presume this occurred in Aug. 1857, at the time of the Manchester tournament. |
