| This is from a summary of results between these two players over the period 1860 to about 1866 (reported in the 8 Feb. 1867 issue of the Georgia Weekly Telegraph), the total score being 12-2 for Brown, but we already have the result of 8-2 for Brown in a match between them in 1860, so I only record the other 4-0 for Brown here. These will count for ratings in the year 1866, but some or all of the games could have been played earlier. |
