The Schachzeitung of 1848 (p.305) prints a letter from Bledow dated 7 July 1843, saying that Buckle won against de Saint-Amant, who gave him odds of a Pawn. I use a soft result of 1-0 to represent this. De Saint-Amant was in London in 1843, so I guess that they played earlier that year.
