| La Nouvelle Régence (Nov. 1861) mentions a booklet of 14 games played by Anderssen on his visit to Amsterdam and Rotterdam in July 1861; Di Felice gives results of 4 matches by Anderssen in Rotterdam, totalling 14 games, including 3 games against Messemaker with score +2-1 for Anderssen; DutchBase has a set of 15 games played by Anderssen in Amsterdam and Rotterdam in 1861, but these do not correspond to the games of the 4 matches given by Di Felice. Sissa of 1861 has 4 games between Anderssen and Messemaker, with score +3-1 for Anderssen. I use the latter result. |
