The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News of 24 Mar. 1888 (p.42) lists 'M. Sellon' as a potential participant in the Simpson's Divan Handicap of 1888, but Renette identifies this player as E.L. Sellon, which seems more likely (it was certainly E.L. Sellon who played in the Simpson's Divan Handicap of 1890).
