There is also mention of a Rev. E. Sheppard (Chess Player's Chronicle 1855, p.257). Bell's Life in London (15 Jul. 1855) lists an 'E. Sheppard' at the Northern and Midland Counties Chess Association Meeting of 1855, but then later mentions 'J. Sheppard' of Kidderminster. If there were two separate Reverands Sheppard, there is a possibility of confusion.
