Event table notes

Event data
Name: Paulsen Club Handicap Tournament
Place: New York
Start date: Feb. 1863
End date: Mar. 1863

Notes:
This was intended as a 10-player all-play-all handicap tournament, but one player, Mathesius, according to the report in the New York Clipper of 14 Mar. 1863, was not available to play his games (and thus presumably defaulted all of them). The names and handicap classes of all the players are given, as well as the odds given between classes, but the results of only two players are actually given: Brenzinger won all his games, and Hollerbach lost only one. I record this as 8 out of 8 for Brenziner (effectively, only 9 players were involved) and 7 out of 8 for Hollerbach (who lost only to Brenzinger).
