| Di Felice has 'Bodenstein, Hugo' at this event; Gaige has 'P. Bodenstein'; McGowan has 'Paul Bodenstein'. Gaige has 'F. [E?] Post' here; Di Felice has 'Post, Alfred M. Ehrhardt'; McGowan has 'F. Post'. Gaige and Di Felice have 'B. Zastrow' here, but McGowan argues that if the 16-year old Bruno Zastrow had won his game against Kurt Richter, it would have been commented on, so the lack of comment suggests that it was W. Zastrow, who was older. Also, the 16 Oct. 1921 Deutsches Wochenschach und Berliner Schachzeitung (p.240) lists the players including Zastrow 'vom Springer in Tegel' which was Willy Zastrow's club. Gaige and Di Felice give dates as 1921-1922, but McGowan gives exact dates, showing that the third play-off game was finished 28 Dec. 1921. |
