Notes: |
The crosstable in the International Chess Magazine of Oct. 1891 has errors in Jasnogrodsky's scores against Gossip and van Vliet, which indicate a loss and a win, respectively for Jasnogrodsky, but draws for Gossip and van Vliet against him. Gaige and Di Felice resolve this as a loss and win, while Renette resolves it as a pair of draws. The former results in a score of 4 for Gossip and 3 for van Vliet, while the latter results in a score of 3.5 each. The scores at right of the crosstable in the International Chess Magazine give 3.5 each, as do the scores listed in the Chess Player's Chronicle, so I assume the two-draws version is correct. |
