Urcan cites the Brooklyn Daily Eagle of 22 Apr. 1898, but his table of results differs from that in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle in that he has Widmer's opponent as 'Newman' and gives the result as a draw, whereas the Brookly Daily Eagle lists Widmer's opponent as 'Breckinridge' and shows it as a win for the latter. Urcan's totals do not add up to the team scores given. I have used the results as listed in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. |
