Di Felice has 'Wagner, Alexander' here; Gaige has just 'Wagner'. Alan McGowan (personal communication) suggests that Alfred Wagner, the Berlin player, is much more likely. Di Felice has 'Bauer, Arpad' here and Gaige has just 'Bauer'. Schlechter, in the Allgemeine Sport-Zeitung of 24 Apr. 1897 (p.399) has 'W. Bauer'.
