Event data
Place: Paris
Start date: May 1836
End date: May 1836

Notes:
Walker says that Deschapelles gave de Saint-Amant odds of Pawn and Two Moves, as do Hooper and Whyld, Spinrad, and Sarah. Metzner says Deschapelles gave 'his customary odds'. La Grande Storia degli Scacchi does not indicate any odds and gives a score of +3-2 for Deschapelles, probably duplicating the score of the 1842 encounter between the same players by mistake.
