Name given as 'Johnson' in the 11 July 1885 issue of the Saint Louis Globe-Democrat, but as 'Johnston' in the 1 Aug. 1885 issue. I presume this is the 'William Johnston' who played in New York in 1890 (see the Brooklyn Daily Eagle of 23 Feb. 1890). Is it also the William [S.?] Johnston who played in New York in the late 1860s?
