| The Oct. 1886 issue of the British Chess Magazine gives the winner and his score, so I will assume that it ended in October, though it may have been earlier. I am guessing that the 'Schmidt' at this event was Joseph Schmidt and not Louis Schmidt, who otherwise only seems to appear later in the 1890s. |
