Biographical data
Name: López Rovirosa, Guillermo
Also known as: Dr. López Rovirosa
Born: 1873
Died:

Notes:
The International Chess Magazine of Apr. 1888 (p.79) mentions 'Señor S. Lopez, a boy who is only 14 years of age'. According to information I received from Walter Chan, El Ajedrez Magistral (Vol.3, p.90) has a match result between 'Guillermo López' and Chigorin in Dec. 1889, where Lopez is said to be 16 or 17 years old. This is likely the same boy. El Ajedrez Crítico (1889, p.93) also mentions 'Guillermo López', saying he is 'jóven de 20 años de edad' (a youth of 20 years old). According to the Caissa website, this same Guillermo López Raviros was an octogenerion in 1949, which doesn't quite match the other age estimates. Sánchez (p.42) says that Guillermo López was 15 years old at the time of his match with Chigorin.
