Son of Augustus Mongredien. Di Felice calls him 'Alfred Wornum Mongredien', but the player known by that name was not born until 1877. However, Sergeant also calls the son, who played in London 1866, 'A.W. Mongredien'. Was Sergeant also confused, or was the son's middle initial 'W' also? Steve Mann gives no initial in census records, and says that he was also known as 'Auguste'.
